Rock Climbing Day Trips

Whether you want to try rock climbing outside for the first time, have a fun day out with a group of friends, tackle a long, multi-pitch climb, or work on things like building climbing anchors or learning how to lead climb, I am happy to assist!

  • Rock climbing techniques to up your climbing game. Improve your footwork, learn to read movement sequences, learn how to jam cracks of different sizes.

  • How to train for rock climbing to improve your grip strength, endurance, and mental game.

  • How to build climbing anchors for multi-pitch climbing or to set up top-ropes safely.

  • How to belay and how to belay when rock climbing.

I am available for rock climbing day trips at the following locations:

  • Bishop: Owens River Gorge, Pine Creek Canyon, Cardinal Pinnacle, Buttermilks, Little Egypt, Volcanic Tablelands.

  • Lone Pine: Whitney Portal, Alabama Hills.

  • Mammoth Lakes: Horseshoe Slabs, Dike Wall, Crystal Crag, Matrimony Wall, Clark Canyon, Warming Wall, Granite Basin, and others.

  • Lake Tahoe: Lover’s Leap, Donner Summit, and others.

  • Las Vegas: Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area

  • Southern California: Joshua Tree National Park, Taquitz and Suicide Rocks

Rates and booking:

I work through guiding companies holding commercial use authorizations for these climbing areas. Day rates range from $500 to $700 for one person but can be much cheaper for two or more. Half day rates available if connected with one full day booking. For any multi-pitch climbing, I can guide a maximum of two people at a time. For single pitch climbing, the max group size is six. All climbing equipment can be included on all rock climbing programs. Please reach out to me for specifics. -Tyler Logan
