The most important thing to look for in a backcountry skiing guide is the highest level of formal avalanche training possible, as well as loads of experience skiing in their operating region. I have both of these things to offer you and I would be happy to get out with you for a great day in the mountains. The Mammoth Lakes, June Lake, and Virginia Lakes zones usually have the best conditions, and this is where I’m heading at least 90% of the time.

I love working with complete beginners as well as expert backcountry skiers. I have completed ski guide training with the American Mountain Guides Association as well as ski instructor training at Mammoth Mountain.

$250 per person per day guided 3:1 or higher (max 5)
